Celluloid, Ozhimuri wins Film Critics Award


Trivandrum/Kerala,, 12 March 2013: Malayalam movie 'Celluloid' directed by Kamal which tells the story of the JC Daniel, the first film-maker in Malayalam bagged the best movie award in the Kerala Film Critics Association. Kamal was selected as the best director and Lal was adjudged as the best actor for the movie 'Ozhimuri'.

Swetha Menon  bagged the best actress award for the movie 'Ozhimuri' and 'Ithra Maathram'.  Ozhimuri directed by Madhupal became the second best film.

Nedumudi Venu was selected for the Chalachitra Ratnam Award and Jerry Amaldev, Jayabharathi and Poojappura RAvi have been selected for the Chalachitra Prathibha award for their overall contribution for the Malayalam film industry.

Other awards are as follows

Best Lyricist: Vayalar Sharatchandra Varma (Ayalum Njaanum Thammil)
Best Composer: M Jayachandran (Celluloid)
Best Male Singer: Sreeram (Kaatte Kaatte - Celluloid)
Best Female Singer: Vaikom Vijayalaksmi (Kaatte Kaatte - Celluloid)
Best supporting actor: Vineeth (Attakadha, Bavuttiyude Namathil)
Best suporting actress: Mamta Mohandas (Celluloid, My Boss)
