CDAC Mobile Application for Women Safety

The Centre for Development for Advanced Studies developed an android based application that could be downloaded and used by all mobile phone users in the country. The application helps the threatened victim to sent an alert or distressed signal to the police control room.

The executive director of C-dac also made it clear that the application could be integrated into a wrist watch or handy electronic personal device that could be easily used. The personal devices should be electronically integrated to the police control room. As soon  as the signal is received, the police could detect the current location and image of the victim and can sent the patrol vehicle from the nearest station to the victim. This new initiative can ensure safety and security to all the people across the country, especially to the most vulnerable victims like women and children.

Such personal safety apps are only for the betterment of the society. Personal safety is really important nowadays.
