International Film Festival of India will begin at Goa from November 20, 2013 onwards. This 44th edition of the IFFI will be inaugurated by actress Susan Sarandon.
This year 326 films from 76 countries will be screened including fifteen Oscar nominees.
The opening will be marked by a 30 minute cultural show graced by the performance of renowned Kathak exponent Pandit Birju Maharaj. Rajat Kapoor and Suhasini Maniratnam will compere the opening ceremony.
Malayalam Film Kanyaka Talkies would be the Opening Film in Indian Panorama. Czech Film Director Jiri Menzel would be conferred with Lifetime Achievement Award and Indian Film Actress Waheeda Rehman would be conferred with Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year.
