How to reach Thrissur - Road, Railway, Flight

Thrissur district is located in the central part of the state of Kerala. The city is connected by road, rail and air modes.

Road
The National Highway NH47 from Salem to Kanyakumari travels through the eastern part of the district. The city can be accessed through Mannuthy Byepass form NH47 when coming from Coimbatore, Palakkad and KOchi.

The state run KSRTC operated long distance bus services in the state. Private buses are available for long and short distance travel. There are three bus stations in the city. Shakthan Thampuran Bus stand, North Bus Stand, KSRTC bus stand.

State Highway SH 69 Thrissur-Kuttippuram Road
State Highway SH 22 Kodungallur - Shornur Road
State Highway SH 75 Thrissur - Kanjani - Vadanappally Road

Railway
Thrissur is connected via rail to almost all parts of the country. The railway station is located at the heart of the city near the KSRTC bus stand. Nearby stations include Punkunnam, Ollur, Guruvayur, etc.

Air
The nearest Airport from Thrissur city is the Cochin International Airport (Nedumbassery), which is about 55 kilometres from the town centre.  Calicut International Airport at Karipur, is 80 kilometers from the city.
