Kamal Hassan in Drishyam remake

Thrissur, 29 January, 2014: Kamal Hassan will do the remake of the super hit Malayalam film 'Drishyam' in Tamil and Hindi, reports media.

The remakes rights was bagged by producer Suresh Balaji and approached superstar Vikram to do the film. However there was no confirmation on the news yet. OneIndia.com has reported that Kamal Hassan will start to work on Drishyam remake after the shoot of Vishwaroopam 2. There are also reports suggesting that the Telugu version of the movie will have Venkatesh in the lead role and directed by actress Sripriya.



Drishyam directed by Jeetu Joseph has broken all the records in Malayalam cinema grabbing more than 20 crores as of now. This was the first Malayalam movie to complete 10,000 shows within 26 days and also became the highest grossing Malayalam movie in overseas. Drishyam also holds the record of securing the biggest ever satellite rights in Malayalam cinema.
