Peechi Dam the biggest dams in the distric to Thrissur, It is located km from Thrissur city and can be accessed through NH47 towards Palakkad.
The dam is built across the Manali river with a catchment area of 3200 hectares. It houses a nice garden on the slopes of the dam. The Concrete Straight Gravity dam serves for irrigation and drinking water needs of the city.
Monsoon is the ideal season to visit the dam since the shutters of the dam will be open during the month of July/October. Boating is also offered in the dam.
