16 February 2014: The Kollamkode Palace at Thrissur will feature the largest indoor cement mural painting in India. The mural gallery has been opened for public by cultural minister KC Joseph at the palace.
The mural titled 'Heritage Wall' features various paintings on cultural diversity of the district including Kodungallur Bharani, Thrissur Pooram, Machad Mamangam, Chilapathikaram, etc.
The Heritage wall is a work of 50 artists from Kerala Lalitha Kala Akademi and has a dimension of 700 feet lenght and 5 feet height.
