K.R.Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science & Arts announces admissions to the first batch of programmes – 2014.
Applications are invited for admission to the Three Year Full-Time Diploma Programmes in:
1. Script Writing and Direction
2. Editing
3. Cinematography
4. Audiography
5. Animation and Visual Effects
6. Acting
The total number of seats will be 60 (10 each for all the six programmes).
Eligibility for Admission
The candidates should have passed the Plus Two course (Higher Secondary) or equivalent. Those
who have appeared for the final examination of the Plus Two course and awaiting results can
also apply subject to production of the certificate or mark sheet of the qualifying examination at
the time of admission. The upper age limit is 40 years as on 1st June, 2014.
Selection of Candidates
The eligible candidates have to undergo a two stage screening- a preliminary Entrance
Examination conducted at all India level followed by an Orientation Programme-cum-Interview
for the shortlisted candidates.
The entrance examination Centres will be at Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Kozhikode,
Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata and New Delhi.
Date of entrance examination
The entrance examinations will be conducted at the selected venues on 4th May, 2014.
Application Fee
The application fee for candidates belonging to ‘General’ categories is Rs.1500/- and to those
belonging to SC/ST categories is Rs. 750/-.
The application fee shall be remitted through a Demand Draft drawn from a Nationalized bank
fovouring “K.R.Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts” payable at
Thiruvananthapuram. Application form and Prospectus
All the applicants shall purchase the prescribed application form enclosed with the prospectus
which can be obtained through post or in person on submission of a Demand Draft for Rs. 300/-
drawn in favour of K.R.Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts from any of
the Nationalised banks payable at Thiruvananthapuram. The application form and prospectus
will be issued from the Office of the Institute at Thiruvananthapuram till 25th March, 2014 and
the last date for its receipt will be 31st March, 2014.
