The meeting between Thiruvananthapuram Divisional Manager and MP P.C. Chacko, decided to renovate and upgrade the Thrissur Railway Station to A-One grade, with in a few month.
The road from Divanji Corner to railway station will be widened. The renovation of main building,yard, shelter,Tathkal booking counter and the construction of escalator, over bridges and flyovers are also progressing that may benefit the passengers a lot.
A fine of Rs. 500 if caught, should be paid, for polluting the railway station and premises.21 cctv cameras are placed at different corners of the station and premises and is under the control of R.P.F. for ensuring safety of passengers.
