Thrissur, 13 August 2014: Lions Club of Kerala will launch the first Nicotin Replacement Therapy Clinic (NRT Clinic) in Kerala at Thrissur. The Clinic will provide Tobacco Cessation treatment for those who would like to stop smoking.
The clinic will start functioning at the District Co-operative Hospital, Thrissur from August 15 onwards. The centre will be inaugurated by minister VS Sivakumar at 10 am on that day. The NRT clinic will be functioning at District Co-operative Hospital once in a week and the service is expected to be launched at the District General Hospital also.
The Nicotin Replacement Therapy treatment protocol will include counselling and medicines as per the stage of the patient.
