Thrissur, 13 August 2014: In step to familiarize Folk arts and music, a folk art centre titled 'Vedika Nattarivu Padana Kendram' is being set up at Vivekodayam Boys higher secondary school, Thrissur.
The Vedika Nattarivu Padana Kendram has been setup in association with Folklore Academy in connection with the Folk art training programme.
The folklore arts which will be preserved and trained in the centre will include Theyyam, Padayani, Mudiyettu, Kalakali, Gadhika, Kulliyattu, Vellattu, Poramadi, Seethakali, Theyyam, Thira etc
Exhibition, performance, training, seminars, camps will be conducted to popularise folk forms among students and art lovers.
