Thrissur, 27 September 2014: Bakers Association of Kerala is organizing a National Exhibition titled 'Bake Expo' on October 30-31 at Thrissur. The Bake Expo is being organized in connection with the 131st anniversary of the first cake being made in India at Thalassery.
The exhibition to be held at Lulu Convention Centre, Puzhakkal, Thrissur will featre leading bakers from all over India with their wide variety of cakes and related food items. Baking machineries and methods will be demonstrated in the event. Over 300 companies from all over India and abroad are expected to participate in the first exhibition of this kind in Kerala.
A major highlight of the event is the making of a big cake titled 'Cakeinkad Pooram' which will be of 600 feet long to be made live in the Expo. Over 2000 varieties of cakes will be on display in the exhibition. A cake making competition for aspiring bakers will also be held as a part of the festival.
