Bamboo Festival 'Mula Maholsavam' at Thalikulam Snehatheeram

Thrissur, 20 September 2014: Bamboo festival 'Mula Maholsavam' is being held at Snehatheeram beach, Thalikulam in association  with the World Bamboo Day celebrations. The Mula Maholsavam is organised by Oruma Cultural organisation in association with the District administration.

The Bamboo festival presents a wide variety of items manufactured from different varieties of bamboos and are available for exhibition and sale. These include fancy lighting, ladies accessories, jewellery, bags, footwear, kitchen items and lot more. A Bamboo house is also created exclusively from Bamboo for the festival.

Everyday evening, musical nights are being arranged in which instrumental music is being performed by using instruments made from Bamboo.

Sri. TN Pratapan MLA, organiser of the event has announced that the festival will be organised every year on the eve of World Bamboo Day. The Bamboo festival will conclude on 21st September 2014.
