Thrissur, 27 September 2014: The State Amateur Drama competitions will be held at KT Muhammed Smaraka Regional theatre, Thrissur from September 25 onwards. The amateur drama fest is being organised by Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi and will feature six dramas selected from regional drama festivals held at Kannur and Kottayam.
The drama festival was inaugurated by Tourism minister Sri. AP Anilkumar on September 25th. in the presence of Sri. CN Jayadevan, MP, Smt. MS Jaya IAS District Collector etc.
The dramas competing in the State Amateur Competitions are as follows:
Erandira Oru Rajyamanu by Central Arts Club Velloor, Kannur - September 25
Kani by Malayala Kalanilayam Natakavedi, Koothuparambu, Kannur - September 26
Njayarazhcha by Actors Theatre, Kochi - September 27
Nagnanaya Thampuran by Theatre School, Kayamkulam, Alapuzha - September 28
Lalla by Natakasangham, Kongod, Palakkad - September 29
Save Our Soul by Platform Theatre Group, Thrissur - September 30
