Thrissur: The South Indian Ranga Kala Museum attached to the Kerala Kalamandalam Campus, Cheruthuruthy will be soon opened to public. The work of the Ranga Kala Museum building has been almost finished in a record speed of 365 days with the help of 300 plus workers and technicians. The foundation stone of the building was laid by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in 2013.
Apart from the Museum, the building equips an open stage, gallery which has a seating capacity of 1250 people, an underground parking, power station etc. The buidling also hosts a decades old well, which is the main source of water for the surroundings.
