Buon Natale, the great Christmas Carol rally will be organised by the Thrissur Arch Diocese in association with the Thrissur Corporation on December 27, 2014.
This years Buon Natale will feature as many as 25,000 people who will dress up as Santa Claus for the procession in an attempt to enter the Guinness Book of World Records. Current record for the maximum participation in a Christmas carol is 14963 Santa Clauses.
Charity projects worth Rs. 5 crore will be implemented as part of ‘Buon Natale’, a procession to be taken out by the Thrissur Archdiocese of the Syro-Malabar Church here on December 27.
In connection with the Buon Natale 2014, a Noah Ark will be constructed at Sakthan Thampuran Nagar from December 19 to January 5, 2015. The Ark which will be of 200 feet in length and 40 feet in height will feature the Buon Natale Splash exhibition. The exhibition will have Cake , Crib, Star, Christmas trees, Santa Claus dresses display and sales. Flower show, pet show, aqua show, food festival will also be the part of the Splash exhibition.
Kalyan Jewellers has been signed in as the main sponsor of the event.
