A four-day international workshop titled ‘Thrissur Next’ will be organised by the Thrissur Corporation in association with the Indian Institute of Architects at Thrissur Government Engineering College from November 27.
The workshop will be conducted in collaboration with the Architecture Department of the Thrissur Government Engineering College, District administration, Town Planning Department, Kerala Sustainable Urban Development Project, Institute of Urban Designers, INTAC, COSTFORD and Chamber of Commerce.
The workshop will be led by eminent architects, including Rajeev Kathapalia, Director of the Vastu Shilpa Foundation, Ahmedabad; Chi Ti-Nan, a critic of art, architecture and cultural politics from Taipei; Jon Lang, one of the leading practitioners of urban design from Australia and K.T. Raveendran, retired professor of Urban Design at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.
Representatives from five corporations in the State, members from development authorities, chief town planner and district town planners will participate in the workshop.
