Thrissur District Police will install 200-odd surveillance cameras as part of maintaining better law and order situation in the city.
Under the project titled ‘My Thrissur Safe Thrissur,’ a committee has been formed to identify 200-odd points were surveillance cameras should be installed.
The estimated expense of the project is Rs. 3 crore. The committee, which studied the security plan, will submit the project for the approval of the government.
There are plans to install 10 high resolution cameras and 100-odd surveillance cameras in the city limit.
