Thrissur, 18 February, 2017: Abheesh P. Dominic, a Kerala youth hailing from Poonjar, Kotayam has creared a world record by breaking 124 coconut shells within one minute using his single hand.
In the record breaking performance held at Sobha City, Thrissur on 18th February 2017, Abheesh had a try to break 145 coconut shells in one minute. He managed to break 124 shells in 50 seconds to achieve the record. He overtook the current world record of breaking 118 coconut shells in a minute held by a German national.
Abheesh is a mechanic by profession at the Erattupetta KSRTC depot for the last 10 years, had secured a place in the Limca Books of Records by breaking 136 coconut shells in a minute in 2015.
He also holds the record for the farthest distance reached pulling a 10-ton Bus using teeth.
