Kottayam, 8 February, 2017: Mohanlal and Manju Warrier won the best actor and actress awards in the Vanitha - Cera Film awards announced yesterday.
Mohanlal won the best actor award for his roles in the movies Oppam and Pulimurugan whereas Manju Warrier won the award for her role in Karinkunnam 6s.
Maheshinte Prathikaram directed by Dileesh Pothen was selected as the best film and Rajiv Ravi won the best director award for Kammattipadam.
K.G. George was selected for the lifetime achievement award for his contributions to Malayalam cinema.
The other awards are as follows
Special performance (actress): Asha Sarath (Anuraga Karikkin Vellam)
Supporting actor: Siddique (Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan and Annmariya Kalippilanu)
Supporting actress: Rohini (Action Hero Biju and Guppy)
Best villain: Chemban Vinod (Kali)
