No Lockdown in Thrissur

Thrissur 13 June 2020:  From now on, only half the employees are required to attend government health institutions. The new action comes after health workers confirmed the infection.

The new restriction implies that half the employees are required to attend work intervals for a week. Those who do not attend must engage in negotiation costs. DMO KJ Reena has ordered this. The respective Heads of Departments have been instructed to make arrangements.

The new measure is part of a new set of regulations in Thrissur. Earlier, Minister AC Moiteen had said the shops would be closed for two days. The Devaswom Board, meanwhile, said that devotees will not be admitted to the Guruvayur temple from tomorrow.

Ruling out the need for a total lockdown in Thrissur district, A.C. Moideen, Minister for Local Self Government, said that the increase in COVID-19 cases was expected since the inflow of NRIs started on May 7.
