28 February 2014: Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (CMET) at Athani under the Central Government will be open for public on 28th February, National Science Day.
Students and common public can visit the exhibition organised by the institution from 9:30 am - 1:30 pm today.
C-MET envisions attainment of self-sufficiency in the sphere of Electronic materials, components and devices to cater to India’s strategic- and industrial- applications, exploiting indigenous resources of raw materials. C-MET, Thrissur one of the three such institutions in the country works on preparation of fine powders of electronic ceramics like titanates, Zirconates, Alumina and Ferrites and their procesing to make substrates, MLC's, chip inductors etc. using high tech ceramic processing.
