Palmland Tours, Thrissur, arranges house boats that can be hired across the calm, quiet and scenic backwaters of Chettuva Lake, Canoli Canal, Enammave Kayal that connects Chettuva, Kandassankadave, Triprayar and Periyar river in Kodungalur.
The Kettuvalloms of 45 feet length and 7.5 feet width can carry 12 adults and a few children on board, runs on engine or man driven, as required.The boat can be hired from 9.00am to 5.00pm and also at evenings including dinner with delicacies like Karimeen, Crabs, Prawns.The boat trip starts from Thoyakkave village, 20 kms from Thrissur (12 kms from Guruvayoor) and comes back to the same place. Safe parking facilities are provided here. Other boarding points are Kandassankadavu and Chettuva.
