PhotoMuse Photography Museum MattathurThrissur

A permanent   photographic museum PhotoMuse opened in the Mattathur panchayat of Chungal, close to Kodakara. The museum was opened by American photographer Herbert Ascherman Jr., who was also the first director of the Cleveland Photo Fest in the United States. The public will be able to explore the nation's and other countries' sociocultural, environmental, and photographic histories in this new area of the museum. On the same day, the museum held a landmark exhibition on the history of photography, entitled The Evolution of Photograph as a Palpable Object, which was organised by PhotoMuse director Unnikrishnan Pulikkal. The show was opened by Kerala Lalithakala Akademi Chairperson Murali Cheeroth and will run for three months. A selection of historical and contemporary photographic printmaking techniques will be on display in the exhibition. Extending from the
