Renowned actress Waheeda Rahman will be awarded Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year in the International Film Festival of India to be held in Goa this month.
The award has been instituted to commemorate 100 years of Indian Cinema, and will be given annually to an outstanding film personality for his or her contribution to Indian cinema. Waheeda Rahman will be the first to receive this award.
The award will carry citation, a certificate, a medal(Silver Peacock),a shawl and a cash prize of Rs.10 lacs.
