Oushadha Keralam 2013, a venture to arrange a national Buyer -Seller meet on Medicinal Plants, will be inaugurated by the Honourable kerala Governor, Nikhil Kumar on 12/12/2013 at Thekkinkadu Maidan,Thrissur by 6.00pm. The exhibition is organised by state Medicinal Plant Board in collaboration with National Medicinal Plant Board and various Government Departments and Research Organisation concerned with Medicinal Plant conservation and Utilisation from 12to 16 December 2013.
Almost 200 Medicinal Plant farmers and Phytochemical extraction and production units from 17 districts will participates in the meet. The meet deals with all aspects of 'Oushadha Sasya Krishi' like cultivation , harvesting preservation, processing,evaluation and sales of medicinal plants. A seminar on Public Health and frontiers of Medicinal Plants will be inaugurated on 13th December 2013 by the Honourable Minister for Welfare of Sheduled Tribes,Youth Affairs,Museum & Zoo, Kumari P.K. Jayalakshmi. The Buyer seller meet will be inaugurated by Smt.santosh Chowdhary, the Honourable Minister for State Health and Family Welfare on December 14th, 2013.
