Coimbatore, 20 January, 2014: Abhishikta Shetty from Mangalore has won the Miss South India 2014 title held at Coimbatore yesterday. Aditi Shetty and Meghna Shetty from Karanataka were the first and second runnersup respectively.
Abhishikta S Shetty aged 22 and Software developer by profession has won the Miss Mangalore 2012 first runners up titile. She has done various ad campaigns for RR Gold, I mart etc.
Archana Jayakrishnan from Kozhikode, Kerala won Miss Queen Kerala title.
R Raxshmi won the Miss Queen Andhra Pradesh title, Darshithmita Gowda the Miss Queen Karnataka, and Shree Iraa the Miss Tamil Nadu titles.
The winners was awarded gold-plated crown along with the title winner getting Rs. 1 lakh, and the first runner-up and second runner-up Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively.
The event was organised by Pegasus events in association with Rotary Club of Tex city at Le Meridiann Combatore. The Jury comprised of formed Miss world runner up Parvathy Omanakuttan, director Major Ravi, Mrs India Jeemole Jaibin, Sajimon Parayil, Toshma Biju etc.
The event was sponsored by Manappuram Group.
