Thrissur, 16 July 2014: The Zoo premises at Chembukkavu will now house new entertainment and amusement facilities for the residents of the city. A project worth 1 crore which includes childrens amusement park, 3D theatre with multiplex facilities, butterfly park, medicinal plant garden etc are being set up at Chembukkavu.
The work of the 3D theatre which is equipped with 200 inch metallic silver screen and 50 seats has been almost over. The theatre will screen short documentaries of environmental significance.
The amusement park will include several rides, fountains, garden, food court, music hall etc.
The modernisation work are expected to be completed within one year, reports Manorama.
