Trichur Arts Society TAS Thrissur Drama Organisation

Trichur Arts Society TAS Trichur was registered in the year 1984 under the 1955 (No.12) Travancore - Cochin for encouraging the Malayalam drama field for the existence and also to find out the interested youth from the common society. The society encourages the artists of this field as much as possible and to financially help the poor artists who are already in their old age. TAS Thrissur also organises an annual all Kerala Professional Drama Competition titled TAS Natakolsav.
The Trichur Arts Society was founded by George .C. Chacko, Francis Kuttikkattu, T.V.Chandran and T.V.Vijayan are still very active in the functioning of the society. The Natakolsav was initiated in 1994. Trichur arts Society has got the credit of honouring the artists of Malayalam drama field including artist Sujathan, Francis T Mavelikkara, Vyppin Surendran, Rev.Fr. Eppan Erthayil, V K Raman Nair, Joseph Chacko, Changanassery Natarajan, Thrissur Venugopal, Kalalayam Radha, Karakulam chandran and (Thrissur) Elsy.

Trichur Arts Society is having the pattern of Life membership with two types.
